I have extra volumes of Library Wars: Love and War Volumes 3 and 4.
If you would like to win them, comment on this post with the title of the book you would most want to protect from censorship…with guns or hand grenades.
Giveaway will be open for one week!
I would protect The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian because every child deserves to have their own story reflected in print.
I would most want to protect A Clockwork Orange, especially since it’s already had a history with censorship. The biggest reason why would be to protect the amazing Russian-English slang that Anthony Burgess created. The story’s quite interesting too, but really, I am just in awe of the slang. 🙂
I would protect any book on serial killers. The truth should be known.
I would protect Carl Sagan’s “COSMOS”. In a world of increasingly strident religious fundamentalism, its human approach to science is ever more necessary.
Any religious text. Even if I disagree with what some/most/all of them say.
And the winner according to Random.org is comment #4, Andrew!
Thanks for entering everybody!
